Welcome from the Chair - Kate Steventon
My name is Kate Steventon and I’m a member of the Arley Local Governing Committee. I am the Chair of the committee and I have responsibility for looking at the impact of Leadership in school. As part of this I look at reports, data about how pupils do with assessments, meet with staff, look at the pupils work, and (my favourite bit) talk to the children.
I visit the school regularly so I can see how the school works, and get to know the staff and some pupils.
I was a primary school teacher for 18 years and I now I work with parents helping them understand more the primary school curriculum, child development and parenting.
I have two of my own children – now in year 12 and year 10. Both went to an IET Primary School. I have been a volunteer and school governor in other schools that are part of Inspire Education Trust and I enjoy spending time at Arley and seeing the children succeed.
